Managed Network Solutions

NTI offers secure, outsourced, point to point network monitoring with remote access and problem resolution from anywhere at anytime without the need for dedicated in-house IT staff.

NTI’s Managed Network Solutions offering is a cost effective alternative for small and medium businesses attempting to maintain a reliable, highly available network. Today’s small company attempting to effectively support their IT infrastructure has many choices available.

NTI’s Managed Network Solutions includes the following:

  • A network analysis to identify the current networking needs of the existing infrastructure.

  • An update of your current network infrastructure

  • 24/7 monitoring service of your major server networking components.

  • Installation of remote management tools to facilitate quick and easy administration.

  • Network and server maintenance tasks performed on a daily basis.

  • On-going problem resolution services with guaranteed response time.

  • Availability to Microsoft certified support personnel during regular business hours.

  • Written full monthly report of status of major server components, including on going issues.

  • Yearly on site visit by network auditing NTI team to ensure proper updating of server components, validate hardware performance, provide forecasting guidance, assess necessity for new technologies.

Full Managed Network Solutions

As part of the “Managed Network Solutions”, your company will have access to a direct phone line to a support professional that will solve any emergencies that may arise. Most problems related to server configurations and networking issues can be solved remotely from NTI’s offices; issues requiring on site support will be addressed with a maximum response time of 3 hours.

Your network and servers will be under constant “24/7” monitoring. Most problems will be solved before any symptoms arrive on your network. Our knowledgeable consultants will ensure that only “Best Practices” are applied and that network down time will be almost non-existent.

In order to enter the “Managed Network Solutions” program, your network infrastructure must be stable and properly configured to maintain stability. NTI will update your current infrastructure to an up to date standard using the latest MS technologies. This network update service is valued between $3000 and $7000 and will be waved for all new “Managed Network Solutions” clients that will enter the Platinum or Titanium programs before December 2004.

Who can benefit from a Managed Network Solution?

If any of the following remind you of how you currently manage you network, then Managed Network Solution may be right for you:

  • Reactive maintenance: Some companies opt for this solution as it is the least expensive in the short term. A company will call in an IT support person to provide short term services or emergency troubleshooting services. Such services do not offer any maintenance or follow up services, and generally are billed at a high per hour cost. The cost of downtime is very high.

  • In-house hiring of junior IT resource: Companies attempting to offer a more stable form of support will hire a junior IT person to maintain their internal network or assign IT responsibilities to an existing staff person. This solution can be quite expensive (between $25 000 to $45 000 per annum) and does not always provide the best quality of result, due to the lack of network management experience from the dedicated personnel.

  • Outsourcing to a large IT consulting firm: This solution can prove to be the most expensive to a small company and not offer the personalized approach needed by the organization. Outsourcing costs can sky rocket well above $100 000 per year depending on the support contract.
